Google Earth Engine (GEE) is a cloud-based GIS software with a petabyte-scale data catalogue and free to use for research, education, and non-profits. The GEE book published by Springer in 2023 is available online free-of-charge and includes a variety of chapters on GEE fundamentals and applications. Many chapters are accompanied by video walkthroughs.
